New clerk learns the ropes at City Hall

City council voted to hire Miller during a Dec. 6 meeting.
Jan Gillespie, who came to work in the city as the temporary clerk after former clerk Kelly Richter took a job in Oxford in October.
Gillespie, who has worked for the city previously said officials called and asked her if she temporary fill the position.
"They're like family here so when they called me and said they needed me I said I would fill in temporarily fill in until they filled the position," said Gillespie.
Throughout the week Gillespie was showing Miller the ropes at City Hall.
Miller came to work at the city from Independence Township where she worked in accounts payable.
Gillespie's last day is this Thursday, Jan. 16.
