Heavenly Paws finds homes at Flower and Art Fair

May 14, 2014

Allie Wray and Winston
Allie Wray, two years old of Oxford, looks deep into Winston's eyes at the Lake Orion Flower and Art Fair May 9 and 10. If it were up to her, Winston would be the newest Wray family member, but unfortunately Allie's allergies got the best of her.

Nonprofit Heavenly Paws of Michgian adopted out 3 dogs, 3 puppies, 1 cat and 4 kittens throughout the weekend.

"Which was incredible with the severe weather on Friday, we had to close down early," Executive Director Denise Rayner said.

Rayner works with Director Lori Yelland rescuing animals from shelters across MI of animals put on "the list." Adoption fees are extremely low, Rayner said, because Heavenly Paws fundraises for vet bills.

Heavenly Paws of Rochester Hills is always looking for adopters and foster care givers to temporarily house animals until a loving home is found. Contact them at rescue@heavenlypawsmi.com.
