arrowre: DTE traffic raises safety concerns

The "Perfect Storm" of traffic woes happened on July 26, 2013 because of lack of foresight.

Add to this scenario several emergency vehicles (police, ambulance, fire) trying to reach victims and that new hospital that is being promoted along with Hotel traffic. What would be the worst case scenario? Think - multiple accidents on I75 N/S bound and Sashabaw, Clarkston Roads". Lets through a crazy shooter in the mix.

Disasters happen because of a series of events that all occur at the same time.

Prevention arises from examining the most outrageous of circumstances (worst case scenario) as if it could actually occur, and creating redundancy in the protections against.

I hope this incident can be used to expand the thinking in our planning process. What I suggest could happen actually could happen. We have talented and wise individuals amongst us. Lets use everyone's input in the planning process, before we create a disaster waiting to happen.
