Born June 17, 1935 in Pontiac to the late Hilburn and Ester (nee: Hammond) Boadway. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley (nee: Massingill) Boadway; two sons, Michael and Dale (Julie) Boadway; five grandchildren, Sadie, Casey, Breanna, Matt and Cody; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Eli; four brothers; Glen (Lee) Boadway, Roy (Bruni) Boadway, Chuck (Nancy) Boadway and Bill (Sharon) Boadway; one sister; Faith (Dar) Nystrom and one sister-in-law, Effie Boadway. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ken Boadway, Norma (Bob) Barcome, and Betty (Bob) Backus.
Howard retired from the Road Commission of Oakland County. He loved garage sales, auctions and country jamborees. His passion was fishing, hunting and being outdoors. His greatest time was when he was with his grandchildren.
