Donna was born Aug. 16, 1927 in Benzie County to the late Loren and Freda (nee: Kracht) Bush. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Bowen, who died in 1982; by her second husband, Robert H. Petersen, who died in 2009; and by her siblings, Marilyn Quick and Lee Bush. Donna is survived by her two sons, Donald (Sandra) Bowen and Lynn (Jan) Bowen; five grandchildren, Tara (Nate) Gerig, Bradley (Amy) Bowen, Tyler (Annie) Bowen, Brian Bowen and Brooke Bowen; eight great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Paul Quick.
Donna was a member of the Goodrich Assembly of God. She was dedicated and devoted to the church where she shared her gift of music.
A funeral service was planned for 11 a.m., today, Saturday, Nov. 17 at Coats Village Funeral Home, Ortonville. Pastor Stephen Chaney officiating. Interment at Ortonville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodrich Assembly of God. To send a private condolence, go to
