Wanda M. Wright, of Oxford, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. She was 89.
Born in Chelsea, Michigan, Mrs. Wright grew up in Pontiac and was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School.
She lived in Oxford for 11 years.
Mrs. Wright spent her life as a homemaker with the exception of when she worked in a Pontiac factory during World War II, like many women of her generation did.
She’s survived by her children Howard W. (Camelia) Wright, of Lake, MI; Paula M. (Late Lencho) Chavez, of Oxford; Sharon C. (Ben) Harper, of Deer Lodge, MI; and William B. Wright, of Oxford.
Mrs. Wright’s also survived by sisters Maggie Stenwall, of West Bloomfield, and Grace (Paul) Bagian, of Waterford; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 12 great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, E. Howard Wright. He passed away in 2001.
Plans for a memorial gathering of some type are in the works and will be announced at a later date.
