Charles (Bob) Robert Wilfong

Died: Wednesday, January 16, 2013
Age: 72
Charles Robert Wilfong of Ortonville died surrounded by his loving family and his two dogs. Bob succumbed to cancer which he battled for 9-and-a-half years.

Born June 9, 1940 in Pontiac to Charles P. and June (nee: Alumbaugh) Wilfong. They both survive. He is also survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon E. Wilfong, whom he met at Big Fish Lake when they were teenagers. They raised their family and spent their life together on Big Fish Lake. He is also survived by four children, Sandy (Bob) Eggert, Kim Hahn, Linda (Jon) Van Der Graaf and Suzy (Joe) Kearns; 12 grandchildren, Jonathan, William and Stacey Eggert, Brandon, Kenton and Jacob Hahn, Casey and Paige Van Der Graaf, Amanda (Eric) Paluch, and Joshua, Joey and Jacob Kearns; three great-grandchildren, Eliana, Kyland and Avery; two sisters, Jan (Jerry) Inscho and Joan Knauf; and two sisters-in-law, Laverne (Norm) Jinerson and Teri Mehrman.

Bob was a man of few words and modest needs. He was a solid, dependable, giving man who was dedicated to his family. He will be dearly missed. He worked as a lithographer for Visual Arts in Berkley and was later part owner of American Color Graphics, but also was able to enjoy retirement. Special thanks to the caring hospice workers of Genesys Hospice where memorial contributions in Bobís memory may be made. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
