BLISS, Howard G.; of Elizabethton, TN; formerly of Clarkston, MI; July 4, 2015; age 83; husband of Charlotte; father of Howard Jr., Sandy (Kerry) Snow; stepfather of Glenda Britt, Rusty (Irene) Lewis; grandfather of Howard III, Courtney, Julie, Ryan, Eric, Alex; great grandpa of seven; preceded in death by his first wife Emily Kay; Howard retired from the Clarkston Post Office after 33 years of service. He was the first walking postal carrier for Clarkston. He served his country with the United States Army and was a member of Boy Scouts of America, American Legion Post # 377 and Clarkston Eagles. Funeral service Monday, July 13th at 10:30 a.m. at Lewis E. Joann E. WALSH (nee Weier)

WALSH (nee Weier) Joann E.; 84; passed away in her sleep on Friday, July 3, 2015 in Clarkston, Michigan. She was born November 6, 1930 to Frederick and Clara (Kallek) Weier in Detroit. She went to St. David’s grade school and high school, Detroit. She worked as the sole bookkeeper for several years at various small businesses in Detroit. Her greatest joy was the eight children to whom she devoted her life. Mother of Daniel (Pam) Walsh, Rev. Kevin Walsh, Carl (Alysia) Walsh, Helena (James) Lamerato, Anne Marie (Paul) Pewterbaugh and Colleen (Thomas) Kendro; mother-in-law of Jane Eschrich-Walsh; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; as well as many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; preceded in death by husband, Michael, Sr.; sons, Michael Jr. and Patrick (husband of Jane); parents; siblings: Phyllis (Weier) Almer, Donald Weier.

Visitation Sunday, July 5th from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. followed by Scripture Service at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. A Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston. DEGRACIA (nee Slanga) Patrice; of Clarkston; July 1, 2015; age 56; Adoring mother of Brett, Blaine and Todd; dear sister of John (Judy) Slanga, Kathy (Mike) Michalski and Karen Slanga; preceded in death by her parents John & Patricia Slanga. Patty loved her family very much. Her greatest joy was spending time with her sons, brother and sisters, as well as her niece, great nieces and nephews. Patty was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending her free time gardening and decorating. Funeral Service on Thursday, July 9th at 12:30 PM at Lewis E. Edward Lawrence Burns

Died: Saturday, June 27, 2015
Age: 85
Ed Burns of Ortonville was orn July 4, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Allison Burns. He is survived by three children, Daniel (Cathy) Burns, Debra Helena Chunn and Darlene (Craig) Heer; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy May Burns. Ed was veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, WWII and Korea. He was a charter member of the Ortonville VFW #582 and the Knights of Columbus #4188, Clawson. He was also a member of the American Legion Campbell-Richmond Post, Clarkston. He retired from Royal Oak schools as supervisor of maintenance. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church (825 S. Ortonville Rd., Ortonville) followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Ortonville Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME –ORTONVILLE. John Sulisz

Died: Saturday, June 27, 2015
Age: 79
John “Jerry” Sulisz; of Lake Orion; passed away June 27, 2015 at the age of 79. Jerry was the beloved husband of Ann for 57 years; dear father of David (Cindy), Dennis (Susan), Daniel, Douglas, Dale (Laura), John (Sue Cantara), Mary (Jeff) Shelton and Lynn Sulisz Ray. He was the loving grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 7; and brother of Leonard and Ted (Virginia).

Mr. Sulisz was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #4764 of Lake Orion, and was retired from G.M- Truck and Coach Division.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8pm with Rosary Prayers at 7pm at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion (248-693-8336). Karen Kay Gregory; age 74 of Lake Orion, passed away June 27, 2015. Karen was the daughter of the late Laverne and Ina Robinson. She was the wife of the late William; mother of Darla Kay Gregory, Lynda Lee (Ron) Bernstein, Wesley (Tina Marie) Gregory, and Carla Marie Gregory; sister of Marchia (the late Harold) Hoult, Lynda Lee (the late Bill) Schultz and the late Warner Robinson; grandmother of Louane, Charity, Daniel, Anthony, Joel, Christopher, Jason, Nicole, Jennifer, Danielle, Maygan, Shayna, Hope, Angela, Michael, and Melissa; also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Karen was born and raised in Oxford. She attended Oxford Schools and was a U.S. Postal mail carrier in Oxford for 30 years. Karen was very loving and was loved by everyone who knew her.

BRADLEY, FRED A., age 69, of Clarkston, June 26, 2015, following a courageous battle with cancer.
