Ortonville- “An Evening of Toys and Storytelling” is planned for 5 p.m., Dec. 5 at the Ortonville United Methodist Church, 93 Church St.
The benefit for the Community Christmas Toy Store and planned by the Ortonville United Methoidst Women, features at least seven stories, some acted out, some with musical accompaniment, to be followed by a kid-friendly dinner of corn dogs or hot dogs, chips, carrot and celery sticks and cookies and milk. All ages are welcome. The nursery will be open for infants. Admission to the event is a toy or monetary donation to the Community Christmas Toy Store, which helps provide toys to low-income families in the Brandon School District. Call for reservations. Chamber mixer
From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 6, the Ortonville Chamber of Commerce will host the Chamber Multi-Mixer at MacPhee’s Restaurant, 650 S. Ortonville Road. The cost is $18 with RSVP by Dec. 3 or $25 at the door. There will be networking opportunities, dinner, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and drink specials.
