The Boys Varsity Ski team brought home a souvenir from the state meet in Marquette on Monday - a runner up trophy.

The boys finished with 81 points for second place. Traverse City Central won the championship with 62 points.

They took third place during the 37th Annual Southeastern Michigan Ski League Championships on Feb. 22.

Grand Blanc took first place, scoring 64.5 and Cranbrook scored 76, 11 more than Clarkston, to take second.

Lance Holesbeke led the boys during the Slalom race, finishing in first in the time of 44.83.

Ryan Callahan took eighth and Grant Huber finished in tenth.

Huber led in the Giant Slalom, finishing fourth and Holsbeke tied for 12th.

The boys lose one senior, Mark Zalobsky, the rest will be back next year to add a championship trophy.
