Daniel Axford Elementary second-graders in teacher Chad Boyd’s class celebrated the beginning of “March is Reading Month” by roughing it – sort of.

Students transformed their classroom into a campsite by pitching tents, building a makeshift campfire and rolling out sleeping bags.

They then read as many books as they could get their little hands on. What a fun and innovative way to encourage kids to read. – CJC
