Coffee Hour

At 9 a.m., March. 25, The Citizen, 12 South St., will host a coffee hour to benefit Relay for Life of Brandon/Ortonville. The public is invited to attend and enjoy treats and conversation. Details: 248-627-4332.

A Bean To Go on top

Last Tuesday, Kirk “A-brew-ha-ha” Walker defended his Goodrich business’ honor. The gourmet coffee shop’s owner was challenged to a brew-off in Auburn Hills.

In cup-to-cup battle, participants chose what was the best cup of coffee, local A Bean To Go’s or a nationally recognized, donut shop’s brand. Seventy-one percent voted in favor of A Bean To Go.

Walker said he served-up Tanzamala-- a specialty blend of two different types of coffee bean.
