Kids help earthquake victims

April 06, 2011

The Student Council from Bailey Lake Elementary launched a fundraiser to help the victims of the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

They hosted a “Wear a hat for a $1.00” day and provided a Jelly Bean Estimation Jar during lunch. Students could make guesses for 25 cents.

They also set up a table with collection canisters during their Seuss Night festivities. All together, the Student Council raised $603.59, which was donated to the America Red Cross for their relief efforts in Japan.
