Coffee Hour

At 9 a.m., May 13, The Citizen, 12 South St., will host a coffee hour. The public is invited to attend. Donations for Relay for Life of Brandon/Ortonville will be accepted. Details: 248-627-4332.

Rummage sale

From 8 a.m.-4 p.m., May 7, the Village of Goodrich and Brandon Township will participate in the M-15 Recreation Heritage Route 84-mile long annual rummage sale. The Goodrich Village Commons area will be available the day of the event. Brandon residents should call 248-627-4918. Goodrich: 810-636-2570.

Buddy Poppy sale

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 582 Ortonville will have their annual Buddy Poppy distribution sale on May 5, 6, and 7, at Bueche’s Food World, 400 N. Ortonville Road, Oxford Bank, 345 S. Ortonville Road, and Chase Bank, 761 S. Ortonville Road. All proceeds will benefit the VFW relief fund that assists needy veterans and their families.

OCEF tree sale

A tree sale to benefit the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund is currently underway. For a minimum donation of $5, per tree, citizens can obtain 4-year-old bare root evergreen transplant trees ranging in size from 15- to 24-inches. The trees include Norway spruce, white pine, and cedar. The sale ends May 10. For more information, call Sue Roberts at 248-625-9110.
