Davisburg Beautification Day, May 21

Springfield Township and Oakland County Parks and Recreation host Davisburg Beautification Day, this Saturday, May 21.

Volunteers are needed at Rotary Park, Davisburg Cemetery, Springfield Township Parks and other township properties.

Also, the township is gearing up for the new Springfield Farmersí Market.

The market, which will showcase naturally grown, locally grown, and heirloom produce, will be Sundays, June 19-Oct. 16, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Shiawassee Basin Preserve, Davisburg Road entrance.

Admission is free. For vendors, spaces are $15 per market day or $180 for the entire season. To apply for vendor spaces, go to or email

Springfield Township Parks and Recreation is also installing a new play structure in the Shiawassee Basin Preserve Park, near the Davisburg Road entrance.
