Lady Kickers finished their regular season with a victory over Lapeer West, 1-0.

Lisa Lyons scored the winning goal in the second half of the Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer game on May 24, with an assist from Lindsey Adams.

Katie Miller made two saves in the game.

The girls went into the first round of MHSAA District playoffs with a 7-7-3 record.

They faced Oxford the first round. The winner plays on Thursday at 7 p.m. against the Lake Orion/Waterford Kettering winner.

The finals are on Saturday at Lake Orion, 1 p.m.

Lady Hitters defeated Rochester Adams in their double-header on May 24, 8-1 and 12-0.

Sydney Hasselbach hit a two-run home run in the Clarkston Girls Varsity Softbal team's second game and hit 2-for-3. Samantha Hoeksema had three strikeouts.

Rachel Pytel hit 4-for-4 and Liz Zezula hit 2-for-3 and Megan Hastings struck out four batters in the first game.

The girls played Rochester on Tuesday in a double header.

They play in the MHSAA District playoffs on Saturday. The first game is Clarkston against Waterford Mott at 9:30 a.m.

The winner moves on to finals set for 4:30 p.m. Both games are in Clarkston.

The Clarkston Boys Varsity Track team finished in 20th place during the 52nd Annual Oakland County Championships at Milford High School on Friday, scoring a 14.

Novi Detroit Catholic Central finished in first with 75 points.

Adam Bruderick finished in third place during the 800-meter, in the time of 1:58.44.

CJ Gozdor finished in fifth place in the high jump event with 62" and the 3,200-meter relay team also finished in fifth, 8:14.74.

The Lady Wolves tied for 27th during the Oakland County Championships, sharing the spot with North Farmington, Birmingham Groves and Cranbrook Kingswood, each scoring six points.

Kayla Sherwood finished in fifth place in the shot put with 35'8." The 3,200-meter relay team finished in seventh at 9:38.06.

Next for the athletes is the MHSAA State Finals this Friday and Saturday in Rockford.
