Golfers sought for firefighters’ outing

July 27, 2011

The Addison Township Firefighters Association is looking for a few good men and women to help participate in their first annual golf outing on Saturday, July 30 at Copper Hills Golf Club, located at 2125 Lakeville Rd. in Oxford.

The cost to attend the event is $75, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, dinner and door prizes.

“This is our first fund-raiser, so we want to see how it goes and continue to do it there at Copper Hills,” Addison Fire Chief Jerry Morawski said.

The outing will kick off with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

During the event, five people will be randomly selected to participate in a hole-in-one challenge, with the opportunity to win one million dollars.

According to Morawski, nearly 80 people have signed up so far. “We would like to see over 100, which is what I am shooting for.”
