Jam party for wounded vets
August 03, 2011
Have fun and help out a worthy cause at Bonnie and Clyde’s Backyard Jam, 4-8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at 7150 North Main Street.
“We'll have several bands, great food, including Mac 'n Cheese from Clarkston's award-winning Woodshop, ice cream from Cook's Farm, popcorn, beverages and more,” said Shari Schulz, owner. “Start working on your pitch, because there will be a dunk tank with a few local personalities.”
The Locals rock band, Matt Meehan, Jamie Nye, Rich Murdock, Rick Detkowski, Eric Yeloushan, and Stu Sonefeld, will perform from 4 p.m. to about 6 p.m.
“We have lots of seating, but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket,” Schulz said. “Hang out with us for an amazing afternoon of family fun, all for a terrific cause.”
All proceeds go directly to Homes For Our Troops, which builds specially adapted houses for seriously injured veterans.
