CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BRANDON

Ordinance Amending Section 46-249 (2) m. of the Home Occupation Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances adopted August 2, 2010

PREAMBLE

THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BRANDON, OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN ORDAINS: that the current code of ordinances Section 46-249 (2) m. 5, Home Occupation be amended, and it is appropriate for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Township that the Code be amended accordingly.

Revision to Home Occupation Section 46-249 (2) m.

Revise section 46-249 (2) m to read as follows:

26-249 (2)

m. One business vehicle may be permitted at the dwelling. Business vehicles larger than a pickup truck or domestic van shall meet the requirements of sections 46-246 and 46-285, if eligible.

SEVERABILITY

The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph or part of this Ordinance shall not affect the validity of the remaining parts of this Ordinance.

PUBLICATION

The Clerk for the Charter Township of Brandon shall cause this Ordinance to be published in the manner required by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Act 110 of 2006 as amended and MCL 42.22.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This Ordinance shall be effective seven (7) days after publication, August 13, 2011.

Jean McCreery, CMC, Clerk of the Charter Township of Brandon County of Oakland, Michigan, do hereby certify that the foregoing is the complete amendment to the Charter Township of Brandon Zoning Ordinance, and was introduced July 18, 2011, adopted by the Brandon Township Board of Trustees on August 1, 2011 and given publication in the Citizen, a newspaper of general circulation, on August 6, 2011, the following members of the Brandon Township Board of Trustees voted as follows in connection with this resolution to adopt the above amendment. Motion by McCreery, seconded by Stowell.

AYES: DePalma, King, McCreery, Beltramo, Stowell, Thurman

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Gault (with notice)
