SYNOPSIS

TAKEN BY THE TOWNSHIP BOARD

THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF INDEPENDENCE

August 10, 2011

1. The Special Meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board was called to order at 6:24 PM at the Independence Township Hall.

2. Pledge of Allegiance was given.

3. Roll Call: Present: Lohmeier, Pallotta, Rosso, Wallace

Absent: Carson, Petterson, Wagner

There was a quorum present.

Also Present: David Belcher – Building Director

Julie Meredith – Library Director

Ken Elwert – Parks & Recreation Director

Susan Hendricks – Finance Director

Linda Richardson – DPW Director

Steve Ronk – Fire Chief

Rick Yaeger – Deputy Supervisor

Dick Carlisle – Carlisle/Wortman Associates, Inc.

Brian Oppmann – Carlisle Wortman Associates, Inc.

4. Approval to appoint Acting Chair.

5. The Agenda was approved as presented.

PUBLIC FORUM: None

NEW BUSINESS:

6. A round table discussion regarding the Township’s Capital Improvement Plan was facilitated by Dick Carlisle – Carlisle/Wortman Associates, Inc.

Public comment was made by Ron Ritchie.

The Special meeting ADJOURNED at 8:47 PM.
