Monday, September 5 - The Oxford Police Department assisted the Lake Orion Police Department with a possible robbery in progress on S. Lapeer Rd.

*Malicious destruction of property reported on Glaspie St. after two males were seen spray painting the pump houses. The males fled the scene upon police arrival.

Sunday, September 4 - A lawn mower was discovered stolen from a residence on N. Baldwin Rd.

*A woman was caught attempting to steal approximately $423 worth of merchandise from a store on N. Lapeer Rd. The woman was issued a citation for retail fraud in the third degree and released at the scene.

Saturday, September 3 - A man on Lakesview returned home from vacation to discover someone had spray-painted some vulgar woods on his garage door.

*Structure fire reported on Lakeville Rd. A large brick building was on fire, while the electrical line connected to the building was also sparking. An arson investigator from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Dept. was called.

*A staff member at Crossroads for Youth reported someone stole $9,000 in cash, from his vehicle. The party responsible was believed to have been a resident who had been eluding staff members all day and was known to steal vehicles.

Friday, September 2 - A cell phone was reported stolen from a business on S. Lapeer Rd. The employee checked the store’s surveillance camera and discovered a 10-year-old took the phone. Deputies recognized the mother from a previous case and called her, explaining the situation. The mother confirmed the daughter indeed had the phone and made her daughter go back to the store and apologize to the employee. No charges were being pressed.

Wednesday, August 31 - A woman filed a report at the Oakland County Sheriff substation about someone breaking into her home and stealing some jewelry, which was later discovered at a local pawn shop. Deputies were able to discover it was the woman’s daughter who stole the jewelry and gave it to a man to pawn. The daughter was not located and was entered into the system as a missing person.

Tuesday, August 30 - A travel trailer was stolen from a residence on Nippigon. Neighbors on both sides of the residence said they did not hear or see anything.

*Larceny from auto reported at Clear Lake Elementary. The suspect smashed a passenger side window and stole a purse containing a bank card and $25 in cash.
