September 07, 2011

Tyler Bonner will be remembered for many things—including his friendship and ability to connect with others.

“Tyler Bonner touched everyone that he met. He was a car enthusiast, so what better way to honor our friend than to do this in his name,” said Jeremey Johnson, one of the event founders and friend of Tyler.

Bonner, a 2011 Goodrich High School graduate, died Aug. 18 from injuries sustained from a car accident. He was 19.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 18, the first annual Tyler Bonner Memorial Car & Bike Show will be held at the Goodrich Middle School, 7480 South Gale Road.

So far, about 50 bikes and 150 cars have been signed up for the show said Johnson. For those interested in participating, no preregistration is required. The cost is $5. All proceeds will benefit the Hurley Trauma Center.

The event will feature raffles and drawings, custom shirts and stickers, food, a bounce house, and a dunk tank. Admission is free.
