Addison FD turns open house into haunted house

October 19, 2011

Get ready to have a scary good time at Addison Township Fire Department’s Open House on Saturday, Oct. 22.

The fire department will be transforming Addison’s Fire Station #2, located at 1440 Rochester Rd. in the same parking lot as the Township Offices, into a haunted fire house for their annual open house, which runs from 5-9 p.m.

“We are just trying something a little new this year,” Angela Haines, the Township’s Fire Department Secretary said. “We like our pancake breakfast, but we wanted to see how this would work.”

The event is free to the public, but the department will have their donation boot out.

In addition to a haunted fire house filled with zombie firefighters, kids will also be able to enjoy painting pumpkins, bobbing for apples, a bean bag toss among other activities.

Hot dogs and chips will be provided.
