Trick-or-Treat with Santa success

November 02, 2011

Dear Editor,

The MOMS Club of Ortonville-Goodrich would like to extend many thanks to everyone who supported our Trick-or-Treat with Santa event on Sunday, October 23. Thank you to our club members who designed, printed, & distributed flyers, and to those who donated candy for the trick-or-treaters. A huge thank you to the Brandon Fire Department for bringing a fire truck for the kids to touch, to Bueche’s for donating apple cider, and to the costumed members of the Brandon High School National Honor Society that handed out candy. The Santa chair that Cook’s Farm Dairy loaned to us was greatly appreciated, and of course thanks to Betty Stewart and the Community Christmas Toy Store for arranging Santa’s visit to Crossman Park!

The biggest thank you goes to everyone who brought a toy to donate to the Community Christmas Toy Store. We collected over 100 toys in less than 2 hours! Many local children will have a very Merry Christmas thanks to the caring and generous residents of our community!

If you would still like to help, you can drop off new, unwrapped toys to Brandon Fire Station #1 in downtown Ortonville, or write a check payable to Community Christmas Toy Store, P.O. Box 733, Ortonville, MI 48462.
