TAKEN BY THE TOWNSHIP BOARD

THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF INDEPENDENCE

JANUARY 24, 2012

A. A Special Meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board was called to order at 6:00 PM at the Independence Township Hall.

B. The Pledge of Allegiance was given.

C. ROLL CALL: Present: Carson, Lohmeier, Pallotta, Petterson, Rosso, Wallace

Absent: Wagner

There was a quorum present.

Also Present: Steve Ronk, Fire Chief; Linda Richardson, DPW Director; Steven P. Joppich, Secrest / Wardle

Approval to appoint Acting Chair

D. APPROVAL OF AGENDA as presented

E. AGENDA ITEMS AS STATED IN THE CALL OF THE MEETING:

1. Open Burning Ordinance – Board and public discussion took place

F. PUBLIC COMMENT: None

G. CLOSED SESSION: Attorney-Client Privileged Legal Opinion, as permitted by 15.268(h)

The meeting recessed at 8:25 PM

The meeting reconvened at 9:15 PM
