Absentee ballots for bond vote

 Absentee ballots for Clarkston Community School's $20 million bond vote, May 8, are available at Independence Township Clerk's Office, 6483 Waldon Center Drive.

To vote absentee, citizens must be 60 years or older, physically unable to attend the polls without assistance, appointed precinct worker somewhere other than where they live, can't attend polls because of religious tenet, in jail awaiting arraignment or trial, or expect to be absent from the community the entire day of the election.

Applications must be signed and returned in person or by mail. Call 248-625-5111.
