NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Reprogramming of CDBG Funds

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) requirements, a public hearing will be held at a Regular Village Council Meeting on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Brandon Township Office Building 395 Mill Street, Ortonville, Michigan. The purpose of the hearing is to receive written and verbal comment on regarding the reprogramming of CDBG funds as follows.

Existing – 2011 Program Year

Activity Number: 172170-730569 – Emergency Rehabilitation

Activity Description: Repair sudden malfunctions of essential systems in the home such as furnaces, septic systems, and water systems.

Amount: $4000.00

Proposed – 2011 Program Year

Activity Number: 172170-731619 – Remove Architectural Barriers

Activity Description: Use this code for removal of architectural barriers in public facilities.

Amount: $4000.00

Description Change to: Update the Old Town Hall ADA accessibility located at 486 Mill Street. The updates would include leveling the uneven concrete slab at the bottom of ADA ramp and replace main entry heavy doors and inadequate threshold with power doors.

All interested citizens are requested to attend the Hearing. Comments will also be received in writing or in person at the Village Office at 476 Mill Street, P.O. Box 928, Ortonville, MI 48462, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This meeting is open to all members of the

public under Michigan’s Open Meetings Act.
