SYNOPSIS, REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2012 - 7:00 P.M.

ORION TOWNSHIP HALL

Called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

All Members present.

Pledge, Trustee Crane. Invocation, Father Mike Verschaeve, St. Josephs Catholic Church.

Approved payment of bills in the amount of $1,063,960.35 and payrolls of $71,228.71.

Total disbursement of funds of $1,135,189.06.

Approved Agenda, as amended.

Approved Consent Agenda, as amended.

Approved Minutes, Regular Meeting, Monday, May 21, 2012.

Approved Minutes, Special Meeting, Trustee Interviews, Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

Approved Outdoor Assembly License Application and waived the $100 application fee for Unity Church Community Garage Sale.

Re-appointed Ralph Painter and Lucy Koscierzynski to the Orion Community Cable Communications

Commission, terms expire June 30, 2014.

Directed the Supervisor, Attorney, and Engineer to work with property owners for proposed Indianwood Safety Path and report back to the Board within 60 days.

Received and filed Petition to Resurface Gregory Road to consider using Tri-Party Funds, when available.

Approved Peddlers/Solicitors License Application for 90 days: Digitalink Communications.

Approved a $10 increase to the daily rate of pay for all Election Inspectors.

Held First Reading for PC-2012-04: A Parts Warehouse Conditional Rezoning and Map Amendment and directed the Clerk to publish for second reading and possible adoption on July 2, 2012.

Approved using Water & Sewer Fund Balance to pay the monthly fixed charge increase from $68,317 to $108,694 for water.

Approved increased water rate cost of 1,000 cubic feet of water from $24.40 to $26.80 and the charge for 100 cubic feet of water from $2.44 to $2.68 effective July 1, 2012.

Approved using Water & Sewer Fund Balance to pay quarterly sewer Look Back charge of $59,838.64.

Approved 2012/2013 quarterly sewer usage rates of $63.99 per REU and the IWC charges effective July 1, 2012.

Held Second reading and adopted PC-2011-22: Text Amendment to Ord. 78 Temporary Use Permits. Held Second reading and adopted PC-2011-23: Text Amendment to Ord. 78 Recreation Vehicle Parking.

Accepted Donation of Lockers from Dr. Guglielmetti for Orion Center.

Accepted Donation of Trees for the Isabel Van Tassel Memorial Garden at Wildwood Amphitheater.

Approved Letter of Understanding with Teamsters Local 214 Technical Employees Unit and authorized the Supervisor to sign on behalf of the Township.
