Oxford Elementary fifth-graders dressed up as prominent personalities and posed as living wax statues as part of a lesson on how people respond to conflict in different ways.

The students had to choose one person from history, or even present day, who has dealt with conflict.

They had to explain that personís perspective, the other sideís perspective, demonstrate their role in the conflict and present the outcome to their fellow students.

Figures included such giants of history as Gandhi, Anne Frank, General Robert E. Lee, Harriett Tubman and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
