Success for Angels’ Place Race

June 20, 2012

More than 400 runners, walkers and volunteers participated in the Fifth Annual Angels' Place Race, May 19.

"We are grateful for all the people and businesses in our community that made the race such a success and to bring the awareness of developmental disabilities to so many," said Paul Maxwell, planning committee. "We are so blessed to be a part of such a great community. The whole community, helped make this year’s race the most successful race yet."

The Angels’ Place Race Planning Committee, also including Anne Clifton, Maggie Maxwell, Charlie Caine, Mark Sanders, Dave Cushing, Rick Clark, Deanna Donahoo, Sarah Nussbaumer, Doug Brown, Steve Savoie, Jane Magidsohn, Sylvia Medlen, and Jim Lenhardt, worked for eight months on the event, Paul said.

"Our success would not be possible without all of you," Paul said. "We are looking forward to next year’s race."

Eric Green of Pontiac finished the 10K race in first place with a time of 35:30.2. For race results, check www.angelsplacerace.org/RaceResults2012.html.
