NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a council meeting on July 12, 2012, the Village Council of the Village of Leonard adopted Ordinance No. 39, which provides for the reduction of the number of Village Trustees from six to four. In accordance with the provisions of Act 3 of 1895, as amended, Ordinance No. 39 shall take effect 45 days after the date of adoption unless a petition signed by not less than 10% of the registered electors of the village is filed with the Village Clerk within the 45-day period, in which case the Ordinance takes effect upon approval at an election held on the question. Copies of Ordinance 39 are available for use or inspection during regular business hours at the Village Hall, which is located at 23 East Elmwood Street in Leonard, Michigan.
