Cari Cucksey of HGTV’s Michigan-based TV show Cash & Cari will be on hand at Weekend in the Country Shopping Festival and Vintage Market, Sept. 29-30 at Springfield Oaks, 12451 Andersonville Road.

Cari Cucksey’s RePurpose booth near Ellis Barn will be stocked with antique furniture and other vintage finds.

The event also includes over 150 arts and crafts exhibitors, antique dealers, and specialty food vendors; appraisals from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Sunday, by certified appraiser Doug Dalton, $5 for each item appraised; and free live do-it-yourself demos

Dr. Wallace C. Ross is opening a new Chiropractic office at 6310 Sashabaw Road Suite B.

Dr. Ross is a graduate of Palmer School of Chiropractic and has been in practice for 29 years. In addition to private practice, he has taught Anatomy and Physiology at Baker College, Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan and Lee College in the Houston, Texas area.

There’s some good news out there for folks looking for work ... Clarkston State Bank is hosting an Employment Open House this Friday, Sept. 28, from 1-5 p.m.
