Santa swoops into town this weekend

December 12, 2012

Stop by The Birdfeeder and Clarkston Flower Shoppe, Sunday, Dec. 16, 12-4 p.m. for photos with Santa and reindeer Donner, and Blitzen.

“Santa’s sleigh has already landed in Clarkston,” said Steve Stroud, owner of The Birdfeeder.

Bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots of Oakland County to participate. Stroud’s goal is to fill the sleigh with donations for Toys for Tots.

“We have a large goal to meet, but we know the compassionate families in the area will make it possible,” he said.

The Birdfeeder & Clarkston Flower Shoppe will collect children’s toys now through Dec. 16.

The Birdfeeder will sell the Classic Christmas Story, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Children will have the opportunity to have their copy signed by Santa himself!

“We wanted to create an event where children would experience something unique, like meeting Donner and Blitzen!” said Stroud. “But didn’t want to shy too far away from what the season is all about.”

The Birdfeeder and Clarkston Flower Shoppe are at 7150 North Main Street, off I-75. Call 248-625-1399.
