American Legion to host gun show

A gun show will be held at Oxford American Legion Post 108 (130 E. Drahner Rd.) on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for teens (13-18) and free for kids under 12.

All proceeds go to the American Legion and AMVETS organizations. Food will be available beginning at 11 a.m.

Recycle items to help less fortunate

Clear Lake Elementary School’s Green Team is hosting a clothing, housewares and food drive for Grace Centers of Hope.

This event will be open to the community and take place on Saturday, April 13 in the parking lot of Clear Lake Elementary, located at 2085 W. Drahner Rd.

Gently-used items can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The event is to help with the recycling of gently used items to decrease the amount of trash in landfills, promote the idea of “reduce, reuse, recycle” and ultimately help those in need.

New or gently-used spirit wear wanted

The athletic boosters and girls soccer program at Oxford High School are organizing a fund-raiser to be held in May that is a resale shop/vintage gear bazaar.

Folks who have any extra gently used or new, but unneeded Oxford Wildcat or college spirit wear are asked to please consider donating them to benefit the athletic programs.

Collection boxes are located in the main offices of Oxford Middle School and Oxford High School.

Celebrate spring with dinner, cruise

Cruise into Spring with Addison residents Al and Sandy Craddock as they head over to Lenny Miller’s for dinner on Saturday, May 18.

The group will caravan from the Oxford Meijers parking lot off M-24 at 5 p.m. Approximately 30 corvettes are xpected.
