Police: Man commits suicide in truck

Oxford Village police officers were dispatched to 975 Glaspie St. on April 4 after a receiving a report of a man sitting in a parked truck who was unresponsive and possibly not breathing.

According to Oxford Village Police Chief Michael Neymanowski, when officers got there and crawled in the back cab of the freightliner truck, they discovered a 54-year-old Oxford man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“During the preliminary investigation, it was determined to be suicide pending autopsy results,” added Neymanowksi.
