TEA Party organizer at Independents meeting

November 06, 2013

Wendy Day, who organized the first Tea Party rally in Michigan in February 2009, addresses Independents for Responsible Government (I4RG), 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybee Road.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a networking reception. There is no charge to attend the event and food and drink will be available for purchase. s

“Wendy was our very first speaker when we formed our group back in 2009 and we are excited to have her back. Our principles of fiscal responsibility, smaller government and private sector job growth are perfectly aligned with Wendy’s values and track record,” said I4RG spokesperson Ray Hamman of Clarkston.

“Holding our representatives accountable and providing our membership the tools to do so is a critical part of our mission” said Tony Messina of Clarkston, another I4RG founder. “Wendy is interested in doing what is right and not interested in a political agenda.”
